The School Rep Season Edition

For some of you, this will be your first edition of Footprint. As we begin a new athletics season and move forward together as one club, we are also pleased to introduce Footprint’s new look, complementing the new Club logo unveiled on social media earlier this week. While its appearance may have changed slightly, it remains an important way to share Club news, highlight upcoming events and opportunities, and celebrate the achievements of our athletes.

Together with our social media posts, Footprint will help keep you informed about what is happening both at the Club and in the wider athletics community. There are many competitions and events available to our athletes beyond our regular Saturday competitions at Dunbar Park, as well as holiday camps and other opportunities. You will find further details in this edition.

This edition also highlights the recent school representative carnivals, where Ryde athletes achieved some fantastic results. We wish all our high school athletes competing at the NSW All Schools Championships at SOPAC from 26–29 September the very best of luck!

Athletics isn’t only for the kids! If any parents are interested in returning to athletics, or giving it a go for the first time, we would love to hear from you. We have a friendly and growing Open and Masters group, and new athletes are always welcome.
