Most Outstanding Veteran Track Athlete

Along with the Veteran Field Athlete Trophy, this trophy was first presented in the 1990/91 season to recognise veteran track athletes competing for the club.

Peter Collins was the inaugural winner in 1990/91 and was defeated only once throughout the 90s in claiming this award. In the 1990-91 season He competed at the NSW Veteran Championships, winning gold medals in the High Jump and Triple Jump, along with silver medals in the 110m Hurdles and Long Jump. At the Australian Veteran Championships, he won one silver and three bronze medals.

Peter also competed regularly at the outer ground competitions at Rotary Athletic Field, where he won the Northern Zone Veteran Men’s point score by a margin of more than 1,000 points over the next athlete.
