Davies Family Trophy
for Most Outstanding U20 Field Athlete
In 1991, club President Merv Davies donated a trophy to encourage under-20 athletes in field events.
The first recipient was Christine Gosling, a talented triple jumper. She won the girls’ 17 years Triple Jump at the NSW Combined High Schools Championships and went on to compete at the Australian All Schools Championships, where she placed fifth. She also won a bronze medal in the 19 years girls’ Triple Jump at the Pulsar Games. In 2024, 32 years later, Christine's daughter Georgia Phillips won the trophy for her long jump efforts that season.
